Jose City Council Meeting, on Tuesday, October 21st, during their Regular Session (which
starts at 1:30pm) in City Hall Council Chambers.
This meeting is open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend
to show their support or to speak on this topic (2 minutes maximum per speaker).

Friends
of Fowler Creek Park Granted Tax-Exemption Status
Friends
of Fowler Creek Park has recently been granted legal non-profit status by both the State
of California Franchise Tax Board, under Revenue and Taxation Code 23701d, and the
Internal Revenue Service, under Federal Tax Code Section 501(c)(3), as a public-benefit
charitable organization. By law, we are now
filing our application to join the Registry of
Charitable Trusts with the State Attorney Generals Office.
This
is an important milestone for us as it opens the door for us to apply for certain grants
that require legal non-profit status in order to benefit Fowler Creek Park and any other
Evergreen Hills community programs that we may sponsor in the future. We wish to express our gratitude to Resources for Families and
Communities of Santa Clara County for their significant assistance with the
arduous applications and legal paperwork.
